About Ania
Ania was a cherished wife, a loving mother, a warm-hearted nurse, and the kindest soul I’ve ever known.
We met as teenagers – she was 16, I was 17 – and from that moment, we began building a life full of shared dreams, laughter, and quiet strength. For 25 years, we grew side by side, navigating the hardest and the happiest of moments together. Everything we had, we built together – our home, our garden, our family. Every detail carries her fingerprint, every corner echoes her presence.
Ania was gentle, selfless, endlessly giving. As a palliative care nurse, she accompanied people in their last moments of life, offering them not only care, but comfort, dignity, and warmth. She held the hands of strangers, whispered to them that they were not alone, and gave her heart to every person she cared for. That’s who she was – someone who never turned away from anyone in pain.
She raised our son with the same love, devotion and tenderness. Thanks to her, he is thoughtful, strong, and deeply kind – a reflection of her spirit. Their bond was magical, and I know she would be proud of how he carries her in everything he does.
We had plans, hopes, and after many years of hard work, we finally reached the moment when we could breathe, travel, and enjoy the life we had dreamed of. But during our first journey – in Thailand – a tragic accident took her from us. It was sudden, cruel, and unimaginably painful.
The world lost someone truly beautiful that day. I lost my best friend, my partner, my heart.
Ania’s kindness was not loud – it was quiet, steady, and unwavering. She didn’t just speak of love – she lived it, every day. Through small gestures, thoughtful words, a smile, a helping hand. She gave everything without expecting anything in return.
This page – this whole project – exists because I want people to know who Ania was. I want to honour her memory by continuing what she did so naturally: bringing light to others. And even though I now walk through life with a broken heart, I carry her with me. In every step I take, in every kind word I speak, in every quiet moment I remember her smile.
